Rayne Poteet has always dreamed that Ringo would be the one that was destined to be her mate. It was a desire that came true on the night of their Alpha’s Consummation Ceremony. But when she and other young unmated females are kidnapped from the Ranch, all she can do is hope that he gets to her before she is forced into a mating not of her choice.

Ringo Ramone has always felt like an outsider. He is the son of a betrayer. Even though he has been told the pack does not hold him responsible for his father’s actions he feels as though the stain of shame has fallen on him. Because of that he never wanted a mate. And when he finds out that Rayne is just that he panics. But when she is stolen from the ranch, he knows he must go after her. Will he be in time?

Rayne’s daydreams and fantasies have come true. Ringo is her destined mate. But what is a girl to do when her mate, that one person who is meant for you, walks away? After she is captured by rogue shifters she knows that he is honorable enough to come for her. But can she convince him that fate is not wrong?

Ms. Carlsyle has just topped Highland Beast! I have really enjoyed this series, and hope to see it continued! Ms. Carlsyle has an ingenious way of drawing the reader into a character that they are prepared to hate, and turning that character into a hero. One that still has flaws and that “bad boy” image, but a hero none the less. From Ringo’s involvement in the previous books I was fully prepared to cuss him through this tale. His callousness in the beginning had me ready to start. And then he opened up, and we saw beneath his harshness, and it became easier to see his side. Bravo Mr. Carlsyle for drawing me into the story of a man I was prepared to hate, and came to understand!

I absolutely love this series! Regina's talent for creating complex characters that I immediately care about is astounding. Life at the Wolf Creek Ranch and in the town of Cloverfield is so expertly described, the stories leap off of the pages!

Thanks for 'getting' Ringo, Nicole. I loved writing him and had planned for his story from the very first book. Admittedly I was a bit nervous about how he would be received. :-) Thanks!
